Kids in Biz entrepreneur program begins Saturday at Boyne City Farmers Market

Young entrepreneurs will get the chance to run their own businesses this summer through a new “Kids in Biz” program at the Boyne City Farmers Market. The first monthly program will debut this Saturday, June 20, from 8 am to noon, allowing children to sell items, interact with customers and learn the fundamentals of running a business. Future dates for Kids in Biz will be July 18 and Aug. 8.

The controversial pedestrian bridge over U.S. 31 in East Bay Township was hit and damaged by a truck Thursday morning.The fencing lining the walkway of the bridge was damaged at 9:54 a.m. when a commercial dump truck pulling a trailer loaded with an excavator collided with it, Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Lt.
